Now what is a Model Railroad world without the infrastructure?  I have modeled my version of the used asphalt and gravel roads.  I have also made various grade crossings of different designs for those roads.  Using the Asphalt material from the Arizonz Rock & Mineral Co., plus my own crushed granite, I have made a believable surface for those roads.  Since the area modeled is not the best financially sound area they do make do with what they have and repairs are the order of the day.

I have made each crossing differently. Some using wood all the way across, some with wood and asphalt.  Others are all asphalt and then just gravel.  This makes for interesting variety and creates an individual atmosphere  to the layout.
