A badly needed turntable for the logging area as the engines could not turn around to head back down the mountain to the mill.
The pit is real concrete with a wood bridge mounted on a steel shaft in bronze bearings. It is manually turned and it maintains electrical contact through wiper contacts which slide on the inner and outer circular rail. I use a brass rod which slides in and out of a tube mounted on the TT for alignment. I have found out after manufacture that the materials have shrunk due to the climate and now are sloppy in operation, but still works.
